Cookie policy

Which cookies Homelinck uses, what for, and how to change your choice.

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files stored in your browser when you visit a website. We use cookies to keep the portal working securely and, with your consent, to improve the public website and the service.

Categories

We distinguish four categories:

  • Necessary: required for logging in, session management, security and choices you make yourself, such as language, theme and the open project. You cannot switch these off.
  • Preferences: reserved for additional settings cookies. We do not set these at the moment.
  • Analytics: page visits, click behaviour and session recordings in which input fields and images are masked. If you are logged in, we link this usage to your account (email address and role). Optional.
  • Marketing: on the public website, measurement of advertising, for example via Google Ads. In the portal this category is reserved and not yet active.

We always send error reports to PostHog (EU), without cookies or local storage, so that we can fix malfunctions. For a logged-in account the account ID may be included. We do not send your email address with it, and we create no user profile. Analytics, session recordings and linking to your account only start after your consent. On the public website we only load Google Analytics after you allow analytics. In the administrator dashboard, a project's GA4 connection stays server-to-server: it places no cookies on visitors of the portal.

Changing your choice

In the portal you change your preferences via the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of the page, or by deleting the cc_consent cookie. On the public website the same link is in the footer; it belongs to hl_consent. After deleting, we show the banner again.
